Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employer Awards is an annual event organised by GTI Media Asia in collaboration with Trendence, Europe’s leading research institute. These two organisations specialise in employer branding, personnel marketing and recruiting.

The Awards are the nation’s definitive benchmark of students and graduates opinions on employers as each award is voted and judged exclusively by them.

About the Awards that Maybank Won

  • Most Popular Employer for Banking and Financial Services
For the fifth consecutive year, Maybank has won the top spot for Most Popular Employer for Banking and Financial Services.
  • First Runner-Up, Graduate Employer of the Year
Maybank was also first runner-up for Graduate Employer of the Year where we were ranked No.2 among the Top 100 Leading Employers in the country.
  • Best Social Media Usage
For the first time, Maybank won Best Social Media Usage award, recognising the Bank’s social media presence not just in Malaysia but across the region. This award also recognises the Bank’s innovative and effective strategy to attract graduates with the use of the latest technologies, such as social media. One example is how Maybank encourages video resumes via YouTube. Another is how the Bank provides real-time updates on career fairs and university engagements through Facebook and Instagram.
  • Best Innovation on Campus
Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (MGAC) won the Best Innovation on Campus Award again. This year’s MGAC proved to be even bigger than last year as it expanded its programme increasing its campus levels to 27 (13 in 2014). MGAC also added in more CSR activities and the longest Global Finals of 11 days. The increase number of campuses for the campus level challenge has created greater awareness of Maybank’s brand and our GO Ahead Employee Value Proposition to students across the region.

Maybank was also a finalist in the Best Management Trainee Programme. Our Global Maybank Apprentice Programme (GMAP) is gaining interest among graduate achievers.

Thank you for your kind support. We only get better and stronger year-on-year with your support.
